Historic Preservation Tax credits saves assets and helps communities build upon their unique historical strengths.
Low income historic tax credits are credits that are applied to projects involving the renovation of historic buildings witht the intent that they will be used as low income housing. This credit can be used in two different ways. The first way is using the credit as a supplimental credit in addition to any other tax credit programs. Using the credit alongside other tax credit programs will net you up to an additional 30% of the buildings qualified basis. More information can be found in this LIHTC Document.
